“For a very long time”, was Virginia's answer when asked how long she has been involved with Special Olympics. Virginia has all the qualities a coach likes to see. She works hard, listens well and above all has fun! Over the years Virginia has participated in many sports including bocce, bowling, soccer, and floor hockey.
In 2006 she was a valued member of the Cobequid Hornets softball team that represented N.S. at the national games in Brandon, Manitoba. In recent years Virginia has concentrated on curling in the winter and golf during the summer.
Whether it is a fun game of washer toss, our annual BB at the park, one of many dances or a fundraisers we have, Virginia can be counted on to participate.
When not involved with Special Olympics, Virginia enjoys working at CCW and the Colchester Historical Museum as well as spending time with her family.
